My name is Phillip Stamos, and I graduated from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in 2008 with Summa Cum Laude honors. I have since been studying, exploring, experimenting, and, most importantly, living within the great tradition of Chinese medicine.
Over the past several years, I have been extremely fortunate to study with a number of talented practitioners who expanded my curiosity and stimulated desire to harness the potential of this millennia-old system of natural healing. Building off an innate fascination with science, biology and the natural potential of the human body, Chinese medicine has given me a framework to further probe possibilities in ways I had previously thought inconceivable. As an acupuncturist, I consider myself fortunate to witness, firsthand, how the body’s natural healing capabilities can heal many times over in situations both minor and incredibly complicated. The transformation that has been most convincing to me has been my own.
In the last 15 years, I have experienced a myriad of issues – ranging from extreme fatigue, digestive problems, immune deficiencies, headaches, and severe allergies. While these complaints are far from life-threatening, the end result was that I felt awful, despite being given A+ marks on my blood work every time I visited a physician to try and seek out a solution. In essence, over the course of the past decade, I became my first patient. The results I achieved through Chinese medicine have been astounding, and have aided me in my career as a healer.
I continue to study, evaluate and investigate imbalances and dysfunctions that occur within the body. That knowledge, in turn, provides comfort and relief for my patients… and that, truthfully, is my primary objective.
